Location: Katy ISD, Morton Ranch Elementary, Katy, Texas
Qualifications- College hours for Title I campus 48 required or a score of 464 on the Para-Pro test
- College hours, high school diploma or GED for Non-Title I campus
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate
- Proficient keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance skills
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- School office experience or volunteer experience (preferred)
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work within deadlines and handle interruptions
- Physical ability to move textbooks
Assist the classroom teacher with instructional needs as appropriate for the grade and subject area.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Operate and maintain all workroom equipment (copiers, laminator, etc.)
- Assist classroom teachers with worksheets, tests, forms, and other documents as requested.
- Assist as needed in the classroom, clinic, cafeteria, receptionist duties, student registration, attendance, etc.
- Comply with standard practices and ethical conduct toward students, instructional personnel, staff, and the administration.
- Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing; stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
