Part Time After School Educator; Katy Area

Right At School is hiring part‑time, split‑shift Before and After School educators for the 2026‑2027 school year in the Katy School District. The position is available to start in July/August 2026 and will continue through the fall term.

Must be available Monday through Friday. Schedules may vary slightly. Sample split‑shift times for participating schools are listed below:

• Leonard Elementary – AM: 6:15 am–8:20 am; PM: 3:15 pm–6:30 pm
• Mitzi Cross – AM: 6:15 am–8:20 am; PM: 3:15 pm–6:30 pm
• Winborn Elementary – PM only: 2:45 pm–6:30 pm
• Morton Ranch Elementary – AM: 6:15 am–7:50 am; PM: 3:00 pm–6:30 pm
• Ursula Stephens Elementary – AM: 6:15 am–8:20 am; PM: 3:15 pm–6:30 pm

Hourly rate $15–$17, commensurate with education and experience.

On‑site at the listed elementary schools within the Katy School District.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Age 18 or older
• At least one year of verifiable childcare experience in a licensed group setting, working with children under 13
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• First Aid and CPR certification (in‑person)
• Cleared tuberculosis test
• State‑specific requirements (e.g., mandated reporter training, TB test)
• Proof of high school diploma/GED

• Attend daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, discuss progress, and promote collaboration.
• Prepare and lead daily activities that align with program objectives, including structured fitness and educational curriculum.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
• Monitor the environment for safety, address hazards, and follow all protocols; document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
