Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred - Valid Texas teaching certificate in an appropriate secondary grade level and/or specified content area
- Minimum of three years successful secondary teaching experience
- Demonstrated content knowledge in the assigned subject area
- Experience developing curriculum and instructional resources
- Experience designing and/or delivering professional learning for educators (virtual preferred)
- Using the district learning management system (LMS) and approved digital tools
- Working knowledge of course standards and research-based instructional best practices
- Working knowledge of assessment practices and data analysis to inform instructional improvement
- Ability to develop and revise engaging digital learning content and instructional resources
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn and implement new systems and tools quickly

The Virtual Content Facilitator (Content) develops, revises, and conducts quality assurance on digital learning content and instructional resources using Katy ISD-approved digital tools. The facilitator collaborates with content experts, innovative course designers, and district staff to ensure virtual courses and instructional resources are aligned to district expectations and research-based instructional practices.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Develop, revise, and maintain content-specific digital learning content and instructional resources aligned to course standards, district curriculum expectations, and research-based instructional practices.
- Build and organize digital course content within the district’s learning management system (LMS) in accordance with district expectations for structure, navigation, pacing, and usability.
- Integrate and support district-approved learning tools integrations (LTIs) and instructional technology tools within digital courses to enhance learner engagement and support instructional outcomes.
- Collaborate with content experts, innovative course designers, and district staff to plan, develop, and deliver high-quality virtual courses and instructional resources.
- Develop virtual professional learning resources and implementation supports to assist educators in delivering virtual courses and utilizing district-approved digital tools effectively.
- Plan, facilitate, and evaluate content-specific virtual professional learning, as needed, to support course implementation and effective instructional technology integration.
- Support course development and revision projects using established workflow practices, including timelines, documentation, revision tracking, and consistent communication with stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with other district departments to ensure alignment of resources, cooperative communication, and consistent implementation of virtual learning initiatives.
- Support campus staff, as needed, in the implementation of virtual courses by providing guidance, resources, and virtual or in-person support aligned to district expectations.
- Stay current with best practices in content-specific instruction, digital learning design, and instructional technology through professional learning, research, and professional organizations.
- Attend content- or program-specific meetings when requested and serve on district committees as assigned.

District-provided computer/laptop, monitor, printer, copier, and standard office equipment; instructional technology tools and digital content platforms; learning management system (LMS) and learning tools integrations (LTIs); webcam, microphone/headset, and other tools necessary to create and deliver virtual professional learning and digital instructional resources.
Working ConditionsWork with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; occasional district-wide travel to multiple work locations; frequent use of technology and digital platforms; extended periods of sitting and computer use; moderate lifting and carrying; occasional out-of-district travel.
