Pay Grade: 100 – (Pay Based on Years of Experience – Teacher Hiring Schedule)

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with mandatory endorsements for the subject and level assigned
• Knowledge of the subjects assigned
• Mandated ESL certification for ELA, Reading and self‑contained Special Education teaching assignments
• General knowledge of design and delivery issues related to student‑centered curriculum for optimal student achievement
• Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Student‑teaching or approved internship experience
• Physical ability to monitor student discipline, progress, and meet other student needs as required
• Physical ability to navigate the classroom for formative assessments and facilitate small‑ and large‑group instruction

Provide students with learning activities and experiences designed to foster intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet district curriculum mandates and demonstrate preparedness in mandated platforms.
• Integrate accommodations for diverse student learning styles.
• Adhere to mandates from the Texas Education Agency, board mandates, and administrative directives.
• Utilize instructional strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that benefit student needs.
• Administer learning‑style assessments to inform instruction.
• Collaborate with special‑education teachers to implement mandated IEP mandates.
• Co‑ordinate staff‑level instructional planning as mandated by district mandates.
• Self‑manage teacher aide and volunteer responsibilities.
• Implement academic‑support technology to strengthen learning.
• Assist students in self‑analysis of study methods and habits.
• Use informal and formal testing to monitor progress and refine instruction.
• Commit to mandatory extracurricular obligations and deploy off‑campus activities as prescribed.
• Serve as mandatory role‑model students.
• Behave responsibly within mandatory expectations within institutional mandates.
