Intern- Safety

A Safety Intern assists occupational health and safety professionals in monitoring workplace hazards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a safe environment. This hands‑on role gives students real‑world experience in risk management, accident investigation, and safety policy implementation.

• Inspections & Audits:
  Conduct routine job site or facility inspections to identify unsafe conditions, equipment, and worker behaviors.
• Incident Investigations:
  Assist in investigating workplace injuries or near‑misses, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
• Training & Onboarding:
  Support safety professionals in delivering orientations, drafting training materials, and organizing safety meetings.
• Data & Documentation:
  Maintain electronic injury logs, update safety manuals, and process worker compensation claims.
• Compliance:
  Help ensure adherence to OSHA standards and corporate safety management systems (e.g., ISO
  45001).

• Education:
  
  Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or Engineering.
• Knowledge:
  Foundational understanding of safety rules, hazard analysis techniques, and regulatory compliance.
• Soft Skills:
  
  Strong communication skills, acute attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
