Field Service Technician
We are hiring a Field Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our compact turbine systems across domestic and international client sites. This role demands hands-on technical expertise, independent problem-solving, and a commitment to safety and performance. The ideal candidate is confident in working with turbines, generators, and control systems, and thrives in dynamic environments where precision and customer support drive success.
Essential Functions:
- Installation & Commissioning:
Install and commission gas and steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems with proper alignment, calibration, and functionality - Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and corrective repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance - Troubleshooting:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools - Testing & Calibration:
Conduct performance tests, load testing, and system calibrations to verify efficiency and compliance - Customer Support:
Provide on-site technical support and training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance - Documentation:
Maintain detailed service reports, including work performed, parts used, and future recommendations - Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to OSHA, ASME, ISO, and company safety protocols across all field activities - Travel:
Respond to service needs at client sites, often on short notice, with flexibility for weekends and emergency rotations
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical training
- 3–5 years of field service experience with turbines, generators, or power generation systems
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Knowledge of turbine control systems, vibration analysis, and alignment techniques
- Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
