• Design and produce electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, conduit runs for motor starter and VFD control panels using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent CAD software.
• Select and specify electrical components including contractors, overloads, breakers, fuses, disconnects, transformers, relays, and VFDs, ensuring proper sizing and coordination.
• Integrate VFDs and motor starters with PLC-based control systems for compressor, condenser, and pump operation.
• Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), terminal lists, and wiring schedules.
• Ensure all control panel designs comply with UL 508A, NEC, and customer requirements.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), internal quality inspections, and provide engineering support for troubleshooting and startup activities.
• Collaborate with purchasing, production, and service departments to address design-related issues or improvements.
• Review customer specifications, submittal requirements, and assist in the preparation of technical documentation for proposals or submittals.
• Maintain organized and updated project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Support continuous improvement of electrical design standards, templates, and drafting practices.

• Knowledge of analog input/output and digital input/output signals.
• Possess skills to troubleshoot and assess the repair of industrial control panels, PLC systems and understand installed components.

• Knowledge of harmonic mitigation, heat dissipation, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) design considerations.
• Experience designing UL 508A‑listed panels and preparing associated certification documentation.
• Experience with Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or Wago automation platforms.
• Familiarity with industrial refrigeration systems, including compressor sequencing, condenser control, and pump management.
