Position Summary

Aurelia Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to manage and improve the quality of materials, components, and services provided by external suppliers. This role ensures that all sourced items meet Aurelias engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, supporting the integrity of our supply chain and the delivery of high quality turbine products to customers and stakeholders.

The SQE leads supplier audits, qualification processes, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives across the global supply base. This role partners closely with Procurement, Engineering, Production, and Operations to prevent defects, reduce risk, and strengthen supplier performance in support of Aurelias manufacturing operations.

Essential Functions

(All duties listed are essential functions as defined by the ADA unless noted otherwise.)

Supplier Quality Management
  • Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and on site evaluations to verify compliance with Aurelias quality standards
  • Coordinate supplier qualification, approval, and requalification processes
  • Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection criteria, and quality programs for supplier provided materials
  • Maintain supplier quality documentation, records, and compliance files
  • Monitor supplier performance and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
Issue Resolution & Corrective Actions
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Perform root cause analysis for defective or nonconforming materials
  • Support containment, disposition, and follow up activities for supplier related nonconformances
  • Partner with cross functional teams to implement preventive measures and reduce recurring issues
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze supplier quality data and trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Participate in supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization activities
  • Provide technical guidance to suppliers on quality expectations, manufacturability, and engineering requirements
Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Procurement to evaluate supplier capability, risk, and performance
  • Partner with Engineering to ensure manufacturability and alignment with design intent
  • Support Production and Operations with incoming inspection, material verification, and supplier related troubleshooting
  • Assist in developing and maintaining SOPs, inspection standards, and quality procedures
Qualifications

Position Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Quality, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in quality control, quality engineering, or manufacturing quality
  • Experience qualifying suppliers in casting, machining, coating, welding, pipe fitting/joining, electrical systems, or advanced manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, quality tools, and problem solving methodologies
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Daily in person, predictable attendance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in turbo machinery, rotating equipment, or gas turbine manufacturing
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or quality certification (CQE, CQA, CSSGB, etc.)
  • Experience with ERP systems and digital quality tools
  • Expertise in design engineering to support manufacturability reviews
