Electrical Drafter/Designer
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Drafter/Designer to support the design and development of cutting-edge mobile power generation systems. This role involves producing detailed electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts for advanced power conversion technologies. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and have a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
This role will contribute to innovative projects in the following areas:
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Hydrogen Fuel Cells
- Natural Gas Engines
- Electrification of Oil & Gas Service Units
Key Responsibilities
· Create and revise detailed electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts from engineering markups and design inputs.
· Develop technical documentation, including single-line diagrams, control schematics, and termination drawings for power generation and conversion systems.
· Ensure drawing accuracy through multiple design revisions and project lifecycle phases.
· Apply and interpret relevant industry standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE) to ensure safety and code compliance.
· Work closely with electrical engineers, mechanical designers, and project managers to deliver complete and coordinated designs.
· Manage and maintain drawing libraries, 3D model files, and revision control in line with company protocols.
· Provide support to field teams, including installation drawings and responding to drawing-related inquiries
Qualifications /
Skills:
- Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in Electrical Drafting, Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in electrical drafting, ideally within power generation, power conversion, or industrial systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and/or other relevant CAD tools (e.g., Solid Works Electrical, Inventor).
- Familiarity with NEC, IEC, and IEEE standards and electrical drafting conventions.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, and P&IDs.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
