Senior Civil Designer - Public Works

Katy, Texas | Fully On-Site | Direct Hire

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, with flexibility for the right candidate

Roc Search is partnering with an established Houston‑area civil engineering firm that has been delivering public works and infrastructure projects across Texas for more than 30 years.

They are looking for a Senior Civil Designer with the experience to take ownership of design, modeling, and plan production for municipal roadway and capital improvement projects. This is a hands‑on technical role and not strictly a drafting position.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction plans for municipal roadway and CIP projects
• Complete plan and profile production
• Build and modify roadway corridors and pipe networks
• Produce accurate and construction‑ready plan sets
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other designers
• Address client, agency, and internal review comments
• Support projects throughout design and into construction

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of civil design experience
• Strong Public Works or municipal infrastructure background
• Advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D skills
• Hands‑on roadway and CIP project experience
• Strong plan and profile production experience
• Experience developing corridors and pipe networks
• Ability to perform both technical design and modeling
• Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects
• Able to work fully on‑site in Katy, Texas
