Tax Manager, Tax Accountant, Tax Advisor, Financial Compliance
This isn't a one-trick role. We're looking for a bilingual tax professional who can review returns, jump in to prepare when needed, AND roll up their sleeves on real tax strategy implementation — all while helping grow a team that's changing how taxes are done for small business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
ABOUTTHE ROLE
As a Tax Advisory Senior at Galena Solutions, you'll wear multiple hats and love it. You'll review returns for quality and compliance, step in to prepare when the team needs you, and most importantly help implement the proactive tax strategies that make Galena different from every other firm. You'll work directly with small business owners and high-net-worth individuals, many of whom are Spanish-speaking, making your bilingual skills essential every single day.
WHATYOU'LL DO
- Review individual and small business tax returns (1040, 1120S, 1065, Schedule C/E) for accuracy, compliance, and missed opportunities
- Prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses when coverage or capacity requires it
- Implement hands-on tax strategies across entity structure, compensation, real estate, and retirement planning
- Lead and present tax planning calls — kickoffs, implementation, and quarterly check-ins — in English and Spanish
- Research evolving tax legislation and IRS pronouncements to keep strategies current and effective
- Identify new planning opportunities within the existing client portfolio and surface them to the advisory team
- Mentor and support junior staff, including the Tax Return Reviewer, helping elevate the whole team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, finance, and client services on complex client matters
- You hold an active CPA or EA license —> required
- You are fully bilingual in English and Spanish —> written and spoken — essential for our client base
- You have 3–5 years of public accounting experience with a strong tax focus
- You're comfortable in all three gears: reviewing, preparing, and strategizing — without missing a beat
- You have a solid accounting foundation: bookkeeping, GL reconciliation, and financial statements
- You're curious, proactive, and genuinely excited by complex tax strategies
- You thrive in a fast-moving environment, manage competing deadlines with ease, and bring an ego-free attitude
- Competitive salary $90,000 – $95,000, based on experience
- 401(k) with company contributions and matching
- Paid time off, paid sick time, and flexible scheduling
- Clear path to a Lead Advisory or Tax Manager role as the firm grows
- Real community impact —> your bilingual skills help Spanish-speaking business owners and families win financially
- A firm that values nerdy tax strategy, great people, and zero ego
