Staff Pharmacist- IV Certified
Job SummaryThe Staff Pharmacist- IV Certified is primarily responsible for supporting pharmacy operations by ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications within a fast-paced closed-door pharmacy environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining pharmacy management goals, regulatory compliance, and high standards of patient safety while providing both routine and emergency pharmaceutical services.
Pay$48.25 – 63.25 an hour based on experience (overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the normal hourly pay rate).
HoursFull Time - Monday-Friday 11:30am to 8:30pm, every other weekend 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Duties- Manage daily pharmacy operations to ensure efficient workflow, productivity targets, and timely dispensing
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations, including DEA, HIPAA, third-party payer requirements, and internal policies
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of all prescriptions, labels, packaging, and medication orders, including sterile IV preparations
- Supervise and support pharmacy staff to maintain proper order entry, secure operations, and adherence to delivery schedules
- Oversee controlled substance management, including ordering, storage, documentation, and perpetual inventory for Schedule II medications
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of pharmaceutical waste and provide scheduled evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as required
- IV Certification
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 1–2 years of experience in retail pharmacy or long-term care (LTC) pharmacy
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and sterile compounding practice
- Large corporation experience
- Health plan / managed care / healthcare industry experience
