We are seeking a Bilingual Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) to join our medical team in a combined role as a Medical Assistant . This position is ideal for a foreign-trained physician looking to gain valuable experience in a U.S. clinical setting while preparing for licensure or residency. The candidate must be fluent in [e.g., Spanish and English] , with excellent spoken and written English skills to communicate effectively with both patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support:
• Record patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with physical exams and in-office procedures.
• Administer vaccines, injections, and perform EKGs as needed.
• Educate patients on follow-up instructions, medications, and health maintenance.
Patient Communication:
• Translate medical information clearly and accurately between English and [Spanish or other language].
• Assist in building trust and comfort with non-English speaking patients.
• Ensure clear, compassionate communication in all patient interactions.
Administrative Duties:
• Schedule appointments, confirm visits, and manage check-in/check-out.
• Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR).
• Answer phones, process referrals, and support front desk operations as needed.
Requirements:
• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a non-U.S. medical school.
• Fluent in English and [second language, e.g., Spanish] ? both oral and written.
• Previous clinical or medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, EMR systems, and HIPAA compliance.
• Medical Assistant certification is a plus, but not required.
