Produces radiographs of various portions of the body according to physician's request.
Position Key Accountabilities Essential Functions- Develops radiographs using an automatic processor and checks for desired results.
- Prepares patient films for interpretation by radiologist.
- Maintains quality assurance on all radiological equipment.
- Prepares patient for radiographic procedures.
- Assists in accurate timing and positioning techniques.
- Maintains and files radiology procedure paperwork.
- Maintains inventory supplies and coordinates student/patient room assignments in clinic.
- Responds to emergency situations. Other duties as assigned.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist (MRT) by the Texas Medical Board required.
- ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
Graduate from an approved two‑year program in radiologic technology.
Minimum ExperienceNone
Physical RequirementsExerts up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
