Provide quality patient care services to Allergy & ENT Associates under the direction of physicians/providers and the nursing staff. Supports company goals and objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Front desk reception
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Greet patients with a smile, complete registration forms, and give instructions
- Process, code, and complete insurance claim forms
- Use communication skills with appropriate medical terminology
- Measure and record vital signs
- Interview patients while recording and updating medical information and medications into the EHR
- Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine screening tests
- Provide patient education regarding medications and instructions to manage their health
- Prepare and administer medications with physician authorization
- Maintain supplies, equipment, stocks and prepare exam room for patient
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments
- Check and respond to patient phone calls (communicate with provider on course of action and relay to patient)
- Review and prepare requests and prior authorizations for medications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable experience
- One year medical office experience preferred
- Current CPR certification required. Medical Assistant Certification a plus.

- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Safety and Confidentiality – Follow OSHA regulations, safety guidelines, HIPAA policies, and patient confidentiality; use CPR skills when necessary.

Anticipate lifting 20–25 pounds in any given day. Lifting up to 40–50 pounds may occasionally be required. May have sufficient manual dexterity for safe execution of various skills and techniques. Substantial repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers. Exposure to acutely ill patients, communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, and airborne allergens during skin testing and immunotherapy.
Work EnvironmentWell‑lighted, heated and/or air‑conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation; moderate noise. Typical schedule Monday through Friday with regular working hours; occasional overtime and/or travel to other clinics may be required.
