Role DescriptionThe Assistant Manager role is a full-time, on-site position located in Katy, TX. This role supports the daily operations of the assisted living home, including supervising staff, coordinating resident care, and ensuring that routines and activities align with each resident’s needs and care plans. The Assistant Manager helps oversee scheduling, meal service, medication administration processes, and documentation to maintain compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.
This position also involves communicating with residents, families, and external providers, addressing concerns promptly, and promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. The Assistant Manager may assist with training new team members, monitoring quality of services, and contributing to continuous improvement of programs and resident experiences.
- Experience in residential care, assisted living, or a related human services setting, with a strong commitment to person-centered support for individuals with disabilities.
- Skills in staff coordination and leadership, including scheduling, task delegation, performance feedback, and team communication.
- Knowledge of daily living support practices, such as assistance with routines, meals, medication administration procedures, and safety protocols.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, including maintaining accurate records, care notes, and compliance-related reports.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with residents, families, colleagues, and external providers in a professional, respectful manner.
- Ability to handle urgent situations calmly, exercise sound judgment, and follow established policies and guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or education in healthcare, social services, or management is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Katy, TX, including flexible hours as needed, and meet any applicable background check and licensing or certification requirements.
