Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled imaging professional with strong Cath Lab experience who is confident working in a fast-paced procedural environment and collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the cardiovascular care team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EP procedures, EP/structural heart cases, C-arm and fluoroscopic imaging
, and the ability to provide high-quality technical support while maintaining exceptional patient care and radiation safety standards.
- Assist physicians and the healthcare team with cardiac catheterization and other invasive/specialized radiology procedures.
- Provide technical support during Cath Lab, EP, and structural heart procedures.
- Operate and assist with fluoroscopic imaging equipment, C-arms, and other specialized radiology equipment.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the procedure as appropriate, position patients, and assist with obtaining high-quality diagnostic images.
- Perform EP monitoring, EP scrubbing, and structural heart scrubbing as required.
- Maintain accurate patient and procedural documentation.
- Monitor and enter patient information into electronic medical record systems.
- Follow all radiation safety procedures and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Perform quality assurance checks and identify equipment issues or malfunctions.
- Report equipment concerns, incidents, or patient-care issues to appropriate department leadership.
- Maintain appropriate supplies and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide compassionate, professional care while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
- Participate in required education, competency assessments, and ongoing professional development.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab or closely related special procedures experience.
- Current experience working in a Cath Lab environment.
- Demonstrated experience with:
- EP procedures
- EP monitoring
- EP scrubbing
- Structural heart procedures
- Fluoroscopic procedures
- C-arm technology
- X-ray technology
- Cardiac imaging
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and procedural imaging.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ability to participate in required on-call coverage.
- Experience with Philips imaging equipment.
- Experience with PACS and electronic medical record systems.
- Experience with advanced cardiovascular or interventional procedures.
- Experience in high-volume Cath Lab or cardiovascular procedural environments.
Candidates must be able to meet the facility's required response time when called in for an emergency procedure.
Candidates must live within approximately 30 minutes of the work location.
Pay Rate: $72.00/hour
