Pharmacy Technician About the Role

Join a collaborative pharmacy team where you'll play an important role in helping ensure medications are prepared safely, accurately, and efficiently. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who enjoy working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and making a meaningful impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities

+ Accurately fill prescription orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.

+ Pick, label, scan, and prepare medications for pharmacist verification.

+ Assist with medication returns, recycling, and disposal following established procedures.

+ Pre-package frequently ordered medications and maintain organized inventory.

+ Pull medications from shelves and storage areas according to prescription requirements.

+ Identify and report any medication discrepancies to the pharmacist immediately.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation.

+ Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and all pharmacy regulations.

+ Support pharmacy operations through additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent.

+ Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License in good standing.

+ Basic pharmacy knowledge and understanding of prescription workflows.

+ Strong data entry and computer skills.

+ Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

+ Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Previous Pharmacy Technician experience.

+ Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.

+

Experience with prior authorizations (PA).

+ Strong organizational and teamwork skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Katy, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
