Equity Staffing Group is seeking a Pharmacy Floor Technician to join a fast-paced pharmacy team. This position is responsible for accurately preparing prescriptions for final pharmacist verification, including picking, labeling, scanning, and packaging medications.
Schedule- Week 1: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Week 2: 11:30 AM-8:30 PM
- Every other weekend:
Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM - Overtime and holiday coverage may be required
- Fill daily medication orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision
- Pick medications from shelving and designated storage areas
- Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy
- Prepare completed prescriptions for final pharmacist verification
- Notify the pharmacist of medications or products that do not scan correctly
- Process returned medications according to established procedures
- Recycle or dispose of medications appropriately
- Prepack frequently ordered medications during lower-volume periods
- Package medications and other materials manually as needed
- Maintain an organized workstation and replenish supplies
- Follow all pharmacy policies, safety procedures, and attendance requirements
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active and clear Texas Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- Ability to work accurately at a moderate pace in a production-focused environment
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to work the required alternating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Previous Pharmacy Technician experience
- Experience in a high-volume or production pharmacy environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Dependable with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend throughout the workday
- Ability to sit or stand for approximately 7-10 hours per day
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Manual dexterity to handle medications, packaging, and equipment
- Visual acuity necessary to read fine print, labels, and medication information
- Ability to distinguish colors and adjust visual focus
- Ability to hear normal conversational speech
