Job Description & How to Apply Below
Katy, TX (100% onsite) | Direct Hire | Relocation support available for candidates within Texas
Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 /year
About the RoleA large, growing, multibillion-dollar national retailer is adding a hands‑on Workday HR Technology Analyst to its HR Technology team. This is a true configuration and ownership role, not project management and not a ticket‑queue position. You will own Workday functionality behind the scenes: building, configuring, testing, and continuously improving the platform so HR services run smoothly across the organization.
If you are a Workday configurator who likes to build, take ownership, and improve the system rather than just maintain it, this one is for you.
Responsibilities- Configure and maintain Workday business processes, calculated fields, and system settings across HR modules
- Build, configure, test, and maintain learning content within Workday, including courses, lesson structures, and learning paths
- Assign training to employee groups and schedule course launches and due dates
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and calculated fields that support HR and leadership
- Perform sandbox and regression testing to validate configuration before it goes to production
- Troubleshoot and independently resolve configuration and assignment issues
- Support Workday release cycles through impact analysis, testing, and validation
- Partner closely with HR Technology, Learning & Development, and business stakeholders
- 2+ years of hands‑on Workday configuration experience
- Experience configuring Workday business processes and building calculated fields
- Experience with sandbox testing and regression testing
- Experience owning Workday functionality internally as part of an in‑house HR or HRIS team
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, ownership‑driven mindset
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Hands‑on Workday Learning configuration: building and maintaining learning courses, paths, and assignments
- Experience administering Workday Learning in a production environment
- Workday HCM and Leave module experience
- Advanced Workday training (Report Writer, Calculated Fields, BIRT, Studio)
- Direct hire with a stable, growing, multibillion‑dollar organization known for strong promotion opportunities and long employee tenure
- Campus environment with an on‑site cafeteria, private employee gym, and personal trainers
- Full benefits, 4 weeks PTO, and a generous employee discount
- Collaborative, energetic, relationship‑driven team culture
