Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Personal Lines Account Manager to manage and service a portfolio of personal insurance clients. The ideal candidate will build strong client relationships, assist with policy changes and renewals, provide coverage recommendations, and ensure exceptional customer service while supporting agency growth and retention goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day service needs for personal insurance accounts including auto, home, renters, umbrella, and recreational vehicle policies.
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements.
  • Review coverage options and provide recommendations based on client needs.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Prepare quotes and market new and renewal business with insurance carriers.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation in the agency management system.
  • Assist clients with claims reporting and follow-up communication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members.
  • Identify cross-selling and account-rounding opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with agency procedures and insurance regulations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required.
  • 2+ years of personal lines insurance experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with carrier rating systems.
  • Knowledge of underwriting guidelines and coverage analysis.
  • Sales-minded approach with strong relationship-building abilities.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
