Procurement Specialist​/Strategic Sourcer in Katy, Texas

Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Professional with strategic sourcing experience to support capital projects and sourcing initiatives in a manufacturing/industrial environment. This is a great opportunity to join a project-focused organization where you'll have exposure to capital projects, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations. The initial assignment is 6 months with a strong possibility of extension or direct hire conversion.

• Support competitive RFI, RFQ, and RFP events for capital projects
• Coordinate sourcing activities from bid package issuance through purchase order placement
• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and develop sourcing strategies
• Coordinate technical and commercial bid clarifications with suppliers
• Prepare bid evaluations and commercial summaries
• Track procurement status, delivery schedules, and supplier performance
• Support invoice processing, issue resolution, and project reporting
• Assist the Strategic Sourcing team with negotiations and other sourcing initiatives

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience using SAP for procurement/purchasing activities

Pay: up to $50/hour Benefits:
