Floor Technician

Overview

Join Campus Services Group (CSG) as a Floor Technician. In this role, you will maintain clean and orderly floors in a variety of campus environments, ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for students, faculty, and visitors. • Perform specialized floor care tasks, such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning.
• Safely operate various types of floor care equipment, such as auto scrubbers and burnishers.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of floors in public and private spaces, including hallways, classrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Comply with safety standards and follow all infection control, sanitation, and hazardous materials policies.
• Respond promptly to floor care requests and maintain communication with campus staff.
• Perform light janitorial duties, including trash removal, as needed.
• Collaborate with your supervisor and team to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in floor care or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with students, staff, and guests.
• Compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 75 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks daily and work in an environment that requires handling cleaning products.
• Must provide a criminal background check.
