Description
This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Dalwadi Hospitality Management, LLC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
The General Manager provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the Aloft Hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and full compliance with Marriott brand standards. This role oversees all hotel operations and serves as the primary liaison between ownership, associates, and Marriott corporate.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and inspire department heads and associates
- Foster a service driven, energetic, and inclusive culture
- Recruit, train, and develop high performing teams
- Drive employee engagement and retention
- Oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Sales, and Engineering
- Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards and quality assurance requirements
- Maintain strong guest satisfaction scores and online reputation
- Act as Manager on Duty as needed
- Develop and manage annual operating budget
- Monitor P and L performance and implement cost controls
- Drive revenue growth, occupancy, and RevPAR performance
- Analyze STR and market data to improve competitive positioning
- Oversee daily use and optimization of Lightspeed Property Management System
- Ensure accuracy in rate management, inventory controls, and financial reporting
- Maintain proper audit and billing procedures
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a hotel environment
- Prior experience with Aloft or Marriott brand strongly preferred
- Hands on experience with Lightspeed Property Management System required
- Strong knowledge of Marriott brand standards and quality assurance processes
- Proven ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, and labor controls
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, lifestyle hotel environment
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
- Annual salary of $70,000, eligible for quarterly performance bonus based on achievement of company and brand standards
- Eligible to enroll in health insurance benefits after 90 days of employment
- Paid time off and company holidays in accordance with company policy
