CNC​/Shop Supervisor

Summary:

Jelec USA Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Fabrication Supervisor to lead and manage a team of operators in a fast-paced sheet metal fabrication environment. This role will oversee daily production activities across Amada press brakes, laser/punch combination machines, and waterjet systems, ensuring high-quality output, efficiency, and safety.
This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication, CNC programming, and production supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise, train, and lead a team of CNC operators across fabrication equipment:
" Amada press brakes
" Amada laser/punch combination machines
" Waterjet cutting systems
2. Plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet deadlines and throughput targets
3. Oversee sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, forming, and assembly
4. Review drawings, work orders, and specifications to ensure accurate production
5. Monitor production quality and implement corrective actions as needed
6. Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, workflow, and scrap reduction
7. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
8. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and improve manufacturability
9. Maintain equipment utilization and coordinate maintenance as needed

" 1. Qualifications / Skills:
" 5 10+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication
" 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role in a fabrication or CNC environment
" Strong hands-on experience with:
o Press brake operations (Amada preferred)
o Laser cutting systems (fiber laser or combo machines)
o Waterjet cutting systems

Experience with CNC programming, nesting, bending, and forming
" Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
" Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
" Experience managing production schedules and shop floor workflow
