- Learn and understand differences in wire sizes and types
- Ensure wire product is handled appropriately so that it’s not damaged during cutting, storage or shipment
- Learn to use and train others to use machines specifically intended for cutting and measuring wire
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and OSHA safety standards
- Stage product for loading
- Unload materials from truck
- Move materials to warehouse for storage
- Responsible for quality control; no damaged product is sent out; no damaged material is accepted in
- Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) including stand‑up, reach truck, order picker and sit‑down propane forklift
- Complete daily and weekly logs for PIT and quality processes
- Clean and maintain work areas
- Develop and lead team
- Wire cutting knowledge
- Other duties as assigned
- College degree with 2 years or more directly related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
- PIT proficiency: reach truck, order picker, "sit down" propane; current certification a plus
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and handling small parts
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Long and varied hours required occasionally
- Ability to work mandatory physical inventory
- Ability to work in extreme hot or cold environment
- Ability to work in dusty conditions
