Picture your first week at Katy Spring & Mfg., Inc.: you arrive on the production floor, power up a CNC wire bending machine, load coil stock, and verify your setup against the traveler and blueprint. Your first-off parts are checked with calipers, micrometers, protractors, and an optical comparator. You make a fine adjustment, bring the part into spec, and document results in line with ISO 9001 practices.

The rest of the day you balance throughput, quality, and safety—reducing scrap, completing changeovers, and keeping the cell running smoothly.

• Run and closely monitor wireforming equipment, ensuring safe, efficient production.
• Load wire, complete startups/shutdowns, and keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and production travelers to meet exacting specs.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, protractors, and optical comparators.
• Support tooling changes, machine setups, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Tune processes to maintain quality and minimize scrap.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements without compromise.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a habit of following instructions.
• Experience in manufacturing, machine operation, blueprint reading, or quality inspection is a plus.
• Comfort standing, lifting, and working in a fast-paced production setting.
