Position: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)- TCP Katy

Job Description

We are searching for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for TCP Katy to gather information, assess and provide direct care to patients. The LVN works collaboratively with other healthcare team members to render age‑appropriate care.

Qualifications
  • High school graduate, GED, or equivalent.
  • Diploma or certificate from a school of vocational nursing OR documentation from the Texas Board of Nursing verifying an exception to the requirement for a diploma from a school of vocational nursing.
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) by the State of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or Compact.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment.
  • Knowledge of related OSHA and CLIA/COLA guidelines and requirements, general office tasks, confidentiality and filing system.
  • Proficiency with treatments such as nebulizer, ear irrigation and dressing changes.
Responsibilities
  • Assists with the collection of patient/family data.
  • Provides general patient care.
  • Administers medication and immunizations.
  • Supports patient/families in self‑management of their health through education.
  • Triages patients.
  • Coordinates referrals.
  • Collects specimens and performs laboratory tests.
  • Demonstrates the Creating SMILES and AIDET philosophies to patients, families, and coworkers.
  • Undergoes respiratory fit testing as required for workplace safety compliance.
