Job Description
We are searching for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for TCP Katy to gather information, assess and provide direct care to patients. The LVN works collaboratively with other healthcare team members to render age‑appropriate care.

- High school graduate, GED, or equivalent.
- Diploma or certificate from a school of vocational nursing OR documentation from the Texas Board of Nursing verifying an exception to the requirement for a diploma from a school of vocational nursing.
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) by the State of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or Compact.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment.
- Knowledge of related OSHA and CLIA/COLA guidelines and requirements, general office tasks, confidentiality and filing system.
- Proficiency with treatments such as nebulizer, ear irrigation and dressing changes.
- Assists with the collection of patient/family data.
- Provides general patient care.
- Administers medication and immunizations.
- Supports patient/families in self‑management of their health through education.
- Triages patients.
- Coordinates referrals.
- Collects specimens and performs laboratory tests.
- Demonstrates the Creating SMILES and AIDET philosophies to patients, families, and coworkers.
- Undergoes respiratory fit testing as required for workplace safety compliance.
