RN PACU PRN – Katy Endoscopy Center (HCA Healthcare)

We are seeking a PACU nurse to provide safe and effective nursing care in our ambulatory surgery center, supporting patients from postoperative recovery until discharge.

• Prepare and maintain the patient care area, ensuring equipment and supplies are available.
• Demonstrate proper airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients per policy, recording vital signs, temperature, cardiac status, etc.
• Perform proper insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks.
• Conduct head‑to‑toe evaluations using an approved scoring system in line with HCA policies.
• Inspect dressings and operative sites; report abnormalities to the surgeon.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and their families.
• Verify that patients meet discharge criteria.

• Associate Degree in Nursing, RN Diploma, or higher nursing degree.
• Minimum 1+ year nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably PACU, ICU, or surgery.
• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• BCLS certification required upon employment (online certification not acceptable).
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Combined PALS certification required within 30 days of hire if the facility requires it.
