We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in infusion therapy to join our healthcare team in Katy, TX. The RN Nurse - Infusion will be responsible for administering intravenous medications and treatments, monitoring patient responses, and providing high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer infusion therapies including IV medications, chemotherapy, and biologics according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and side effects during and after infusion treatments.
- Assess patient condition and document clinical information accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and their families about infusion procedures, potential side effects, and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain infusion equipment and ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with best practices in infusion nursing.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in infusion therapy or related specialty.
- Certification in infusion nursing (e.g., CRNI) is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
This position is based in Webster, TX, and involves working in a clinical setting with direct patient care. The role requires standing for extended periods, handling medical equipment, and adhering to strict safety and infection control protocols.
