JOB SUMMARY:

The Seafood Clerk is responsible for preparing fish and seafood for general purchase by cutting, cleaning, and trimming down fish.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Ensures area is clean, fish tanks are full and free of sleeper

* Ensures all products are properly signed and all product is rotated correctly

* Certifies products received throughout the day

* Washes all dishes and utensils thoroughly

* Other duties as assigned by management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

* High School Diploma, GED equivalent required

* Experience working in a meat and/or seafood department, a plus

* Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in seafood departments.

* Bilingual in English and Spanish

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Candidates must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities required for satisfactory performance.

* Detail oriented

* Read and write English/Spanish

* Follow instructions,

* Comfortable using knives safely and efficiently

* The work environment is that typical of an office and retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud.

* Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
