Now hiring immediately for our Katy, TX location.

• Shift A: 7am-7pm ($13/hour)
• Shift B: 7pm-7am ($13.50/hour)
• Overtime shifts are available!

You will be responsible for completion of daily activities to promote protection of life and property as part of the company’s loss prevention program.

• Assists supervisor in maintaining the company’s physical security in accordance with the loss prevention plan to include conducting random searches, patrolling facilities, and grounds, and responding to emergency events.
• Prepares necessary forms, records, and documentation for assigned tasks.
• Coordinates response of responding medical, fire, or law enforcement personnel in site emergency events requiring their assistance.
• Locks/opens gates and doors at predetermined times in accordance with loss prevention directives.
• Prepares and submits daily loss prevention reports, activity logs, and other documentation as required.
• Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and to maintain security of the site.
• Answers telephone calls to record messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when necessary.
• Inspects security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
• Watches for and reports irregularities, such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, severe weather events, safety violations and doors left unlocked; sounds the alarm in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Audits for and warns persons of rule infractions or violations; contacts law enforcement when force is necessary to evict violators from premises.
• Records information on and inspects inbound and outbound delivery vehicles, providing temporary passes as necessary.

• Controls access to company facilities through vehicle permitting and badge issuance.
• Assists Distribution department in trailer pick-ups after hours.
• Conducts periodic safety inspections.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Resume is required.
• Must have security license.
• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 6 months experience in security, military, or customer service required; post high school education or work experience at Igloo may substitute for experience.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle (Valid Texas driver’s license required) and pass a motor vehicle record check and background check.
• Physical Demands:
  Ability to lift and transport up to 40 lbs. able to stand for long periods of time, able to climb stairs, walk quickly and stoop and bend.
• English language skills:
  Able to read, write, speak, comprehend English and good communication skills.
• Work conditions:
  Will work outdoors where it is hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months.
• Basic understanding and use of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel.
• Must take a drug screen. (Excludes marijuana)
• 7-year background check for violent crime, sex offenses, and larceny.

• Current Texas Security License
