Senior FA​/LV Installer

POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly skilled Senior Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Installer to join our growing team of professionals. The installer will perform routine installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings, and personnel analysis. Develops a positive interface with the customer to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the system installation.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

* Take ownership of onsite projects including safety, quality, and performance.

* Train, mentor, and lead team members and jobs.

* Install commercial & industrial 3-phase electrical power systems.

* Install all types of electrical conduit.

* Complete paperwork, including but not limited to onsite documentation and maintenance of as built drawings.

* Responsible for ensuring all employees embrace our safety culture and comply with all safety initiatives.

* Demonstrate a high level of oral and written communication, coordinates with other departments, and general contractors with little supervision.

* Comply with standards and procedures of industry and Sciens safety programs/policies.

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU.

* Minimum three (3) years' experience in fire alarm, voice/data, and security installation

* Solid working knowledge of commercial electrical systems.

* Advanced ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, diagrams, and make recommendations based on field conditions.

* Advanced installation knowledge run wire, wire devices, fish walls and doors.

* Advanced knowledge of NFPA 70 & NFPA 72 installation requirements.

* You demonstrate a high level of oral and written communication; coordinates with other departments, and GCs with little supervision.

* Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 certification.

* Ability to learn and safely use standard trade tools.

* Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.

* Ability to work independently with some supervision.

* Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 certification.

* Customer-focused; skilled in project and people management.

* Proficient in issue resolution.

* Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.

* Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, maximum occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; able to work from heights and climb ladders; standing and walking for most of the workday.

* Ability to travel occasionally overnight, as needed.

* Valid driver's license & reliable transportation.
