You’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on the newest and best maintained fleet of vehicles in the industry, helping customers keep their vehicles in shape and on the road. No day is the same; you’ll work on a variety of equipment, learn from experienced supervisors and master technicians, and receive industry‑certified training. Safety and reliability are top priorities.
- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers
- Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics
- Perform preventative maintenance such as tire replacement or rotation, component lubrication and replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines
- Partner with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching
- Work on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Pay: $25.25/Hour
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Basic computer skills
- Must understand and comply with Penske management instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, and safety policies, including DOT, OSHA and all Penske safety practices
- Must maintain correct DOT and OSHA records and continue to meet DOT qualifications (MVR check, DOT physical, safety performance record, etc.)
- Must maintain a current driver qualification file and meet DOT drug screening requirements
- Willingness to work required schedule, at the specified location, complete Penske application, pass background screening, drug screen, physical, and potential training travel
This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety‑sensitive by the company. It requires constant alertness and safe behavior. Associates must accept responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
Physical Requirements- Must move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods during the work schedule
- Must use hands routinely to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and operate required tools or controls
- Must safely work at heights using ladders and elevated platforms
- Must work safely in all weather conditions
- Must see and hear well to navigate the environment amid frequent truck movement
- Must regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg). Pushing/pulling truck tires over 100 lbs is also required
