Job SummaryWe are hiring a Plumbing Service Technician to join our team in Katy, TX. This position is ideal for a dependable plumbing professional with hands‑on service experience, especially someone with experience completing warranty work, service repairs, troubleshooting, and customer‑facing plumbing calls.
The Plumbing Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining plumbing systems for residential and commercial customers. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, professional communication, and the ability to complete work safely and in accordance with company standards, plumbing codes, and warranty requirements.
Responsibilities- Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, water heaters, valves, drains, and related equipment.
- Perform warranty plumbing repairs and follow‑up service calls for residential and commercial customers.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues, identify root causes, and complete repairs efficiently and professionally.
- Review and interpret work orders, service tickets, diagrams, specifications, warranty notes, and jobsite documentation.
- Complete repairs in accordance with company standards, safety requirements, applicable plumbing codes, and warranty guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with customers, homeowners, builders, supervisors, vendors, and internal team members.
- Provide excellent customer service during service visits and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Complete accurate service records, work orders, warranty documentation, photos, material notes, and jobsite reports.
- Maintain tools, equipment, materials, service vehicle, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Identify material needs and coordinate with field personnel or supervisors to complete service work efficiently.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, plumbing standards, and operational processes.
- Participate in training and skill development as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Years of Experience2-4
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 2 to 4 years of plumbing service, repair, maintenance, or field plumbing experience required.
- Relevant Plumbing license and certifications preferred.
- Experience with warranty plumbing work, builder warranty repairs, residential service, or customer follow‑up work required.
- Working knowledge of plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, water heaters, drains, tools, and service procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues and complete quality repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, service documentation, basic diagrams, and technical instructions.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and code‑compliant repairs.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, plumbing equipment, testing equipment, and mobile devices.
- Ability to pass pre‑employment screenings such as background check and MVR.
Physical Requirements
- Field‑based service position serving customers in and around Houston, TX, including occupied homes, commercial buildings, new construction warranty environments, and active jobsites.
- Must be able to travel between service locations and work directly with customers, homeowners, builders, supervisors, vendors, and team members.
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, climb, and move safely through jobsites, work areas, and uneven terrain.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to construction noise, dust, tools, materials, and other jobsite conditions.
- Must be able to safely use hand tools, power tools, plumbing equipment, testing equipment, and required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to communicate in person, by phone, and electronically using a tablet, smartphone, or other field technology.
- Must have dependable transportation and maintain punctual, reliable attendance.
