Under the direction of the Senior Logistics Manager, the Logistics Clerk must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in accordance with company policies and procedures. The Logistics Clerk supports daily logistics and supply chain operations by coordinating shipments, processing documentation, tracking inventory, and communicating with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams. This role ensures accurate records, timely deliveries, and smooth movement of goods.
This is a non‑supervisory position.
- Coordinate Shipments:
Review Delivery Notes (packing list) for accuracy, completeness and update as needed prior to picking/shipping. - Document shipment information via JHTNA ERP and TMS systems.
- Coordinate customer service communications for deliveries and installations as required.
- Provide packing lists and accompanying documents to warehouse for picking and shipping.
- Provide general administrative support to the Logistics and Operations Teams.
- Communicate with Logistics and transportation carriers for pickup and delivery of shipments.
- Check‑in carriers picking up shipments, assign dock door for loading.
- Coordinate dock and loading operations, making sure the correct and complete shipments are loaded.
- Disseminate documentation to appropriate parties and retain as needed.
- Warehouse Coordination:
Work closely with warehouse supervisors and staff to ensure that proper procedures are being followed. - Customer Service Inquiries:
Work closely with Logistics, sales staff and customer service. - Maintain work area to 5S standards as posted in work area.
- Promote a positive team atmosphere with co‑workers.
- May be required to obtain forklift certification to unload and load trucks as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
Education:
- Minimum high school diploma required.
- Technical College or practical applied experience preferred.
Experience:
- Understanding of logistics, transportation and distribution required.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with trucking, shipping and dock operations.
- Knowledge of ERP and TMS systems.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and written.
- Strong attention to details, multi‑tasking, prioritizing, organizational skills.
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills necessary.
- Understanding of geography and warehouse operations.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
