Company has been in business since 1982 providing fresh produce and other products to restaurants and other end users. We are currently accepting applications for Local Truck Driver CDL A Yard Jockey Spotter to work in our distribution warehouse in Katy, TX.

• Hourly wage of $26.00-$28.00 per hour, based on experience
• Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
• Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week
• Safety shoes required; $250 vouchers provided per year

• Work 5 days per week
• Sunday/Monday and Wednesday through Friday, off Saturday and Tuesday
• Typical start time 8:00am, work until completed, usually 8-10 hours per day
• Must be flexible with work schedule; schedule may change based on business needs

• Make 5-20 moves per day with straight-trucks and tractor-trailers using spotter trucks and day cabs
• LOTS OF WALKING to and from overflow lots and yards in outdoor elements
• Report mechanical issues, fueling, and checking reefer units
• Backing tractor trailer and box trucks in and out of docks
• Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
• Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License from state of Illinois
• Current DOT Medical Card and ability to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen
• Minimum 3 months of spotting experience highly preferred (some spotting experience required)
• Experience with yard horse and/or spotter truck highly preferred (some yard horse and/or spotter truck required)
• Familiar with Samsara systems a plus but training will be provided
• Be in excellent physical condition and able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods; normal use of senses
• Able to work in all environments and under difficult conditions (hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors)
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
• Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical
• Able to lift, push, pull 65 pounds with no assistance
