Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. In this long-term contract role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring efficient accounting operations within the paper and packaging industry. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key financial processes and projects that drive organizational success.

Responsibilities:

- Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

- Manage fixed assets by tracking and maintaining accurate records.

- Support month-end close activities, including generating reports and analyzing financial data.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

- Collaborate on special financial projects to enhance operational efficiency.

- Utilize accounting systems like JDE Enterprise One and SAP to manage financial data effectively.

- Assist in preparing month-end reports for management review.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations during all financial processes.

- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements to optimize accounting workflows. Requirements - Proven experience in general ledger accounting and journal entries.

- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and techniques.

- Proficiency in accounting systems such as JDE Enterprise One and SAP.

- Solid understanding of month-end close procedures and reporting.

- Ability to manage and track fixed assets effectively.

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Familiarity with monthly account reconciliation practices.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to financial tasks.
