Location:

Work Hours:
Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts); occasional overtime required About Team Industries:

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanical Drafter with strong mechanical aptitude, math proficiency, and technical drafting skills to join our team. In this role, you will transform ISO drawings into spooled fabrication-ready outputs while adhering to customer guidelines, ASME codes, and company specifications. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate ISO drawings into spooled outputs using AutoCAD 3D, AutoCAD, Spoolgen, or Spoolfab. Verify and measure drawings to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards. Understand and apply ASME codes, customer specifications, and company guidelines. Perform geometric, trigonometric, and general calculations to validate drawings. Use Excel for calculations, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and reporting. Analyze drawings for missing information or errors, and resolve issues efficiently.
Communicate effectively with customers by drafting RFIs (Requests for Information). Maintain attention to detail while working in a 2D environment with non-scaled drawings. Work independently while asking clarifying questions when necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure project success.
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude (e.g., experience fixing cars or machinery). Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D, AutoCAD, Spoolgen, or Spoolfab. Basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry. Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, calculations, pivot tables). Visual and spatial recognition skills for interpreting non-scaled 2D drawings. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities to identify and correct drawing issues. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Revit or BIM is a plus but not required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (preferred but not required).
