Drafter
The Drafter will primarily work on a computer, managing data within client-provided drawings and translating these files into shop detail drawings. The position involves working on projects independently or in teams, depending on the project size. All tasks are performed in 2D, with no 3D design or product design responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Manage and translate client-provided drawings into shop detail drawings.
- Collaborate with team members on larger projects when necessary.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in 2D drafting work.
- Interface with the shop to ensure proper execution of designs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and flat prints.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Excel, including pivot tables and data manipulation.
- Associate's degree in CAD/drafting.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of AutoCAD experience preferred.
- 2+ years of drafting experience in a piping setting is advantageous.
- Experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or welding is beneficial.
- Mechanical inclination, such as working on personal vehicles or home improvements.
Join a dynamic and expanding team of 10 drafters and checkers in a growing company. Work primarily involves computer-based tasks with occasional interfacing in a loud and noisy fabrication shop environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kaukauna, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
