Thilmany is a leading manufacturer of specialty paper products with a long‑standing commitment to environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, sustainability, and continuous improvement. Our Environmental team plays a critical role in ensuring responsible operations while supporting innovative solutions that reduce environmental impact and improve performance.

We are seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer Internto join our team during the summer of 2027. This position provides hands‑on experience in environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, wastewater treatment operations, air emissions management, and environmental performance improvement within a complex manufacturing environment.

• $27.00 per hour
• Housing stipend available for qualified candidates relocating to the Kaukauna area for the duration of the internship or co‑op assignment.

• Assist with environmental compliance activities related to air, water, waste, and wastewater permits.
• Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for regulatory and internal environmental requirements.
• Assist with monitoring and tracking environmental performance metrics.
• Participate in sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support environmental audits and inspections.
• Assist with wastewater treatment system performance evaluations.
• Collect and analyze operational and environmental data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop reports, presentations, and recommendations for environmental projects.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and EHS teams on environmental initiatives.
• Participate in safety and environmental training programs.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Rising sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student with plans to return to school following the internship.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
