Market Manager

Full-Time | 30–40 hrs/week | Year-Round | $18 per hour

Produce with Purpose is a thriving food hub and marketplace in Kaukauna, WI dedicated to connecting our community with fresh, quality produce and locally sourced products. We operate a retail Marketplace open 7 days a week, maintain a long-standing presence at the Appleton Downtown Farmers Market, and run seasonal pop-up markets throughout the year.

We're looking for a hands-on, organized Market Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at our Marketplace, represent Produce with Purpose at the Appleton Downtown Farmers Market, and help coordinate our fall, winter, and spring pop-up market programming. This is a year-round, full-time leadership role for someone who genuinely loves produce, markets, and people — not just a summer gig.

• Maintain the Marketplace to a consistently high standard of cleanliness, organization, and presentation
• Create attractive, eye-catching product displays that highlight seasonal produce and drive customer engagement
• Rotate and merchandise product to reflect what's fresh, peak, and available week to week
• Manage point-of-sale system accurately — transactions, pricing updates, and end-of-day reconciliation
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels; flag low stock and coordinate restocking
• Represent Produce with Purpose at the Appleton Downtown Farmers Market
• Help plan and execute seasonal pop-up markets (fall, winter, spring)
• Coordinate vendors, staff, and pop-up participants across all market formats
• Handle customer inquiries with confidence and deep product knowledge
• Assist with loading, transport, and physical setup of market materials

• Previous farmers market or farm stand experience —
  required
• Strong knowledge of fresh produce: varieties, seasonality, quality indicators
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple moving parts
• Valid driver's license —
  required
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
• Must be available to work Saturdays — non-negotiable
• Committed to year-round, full-time work including off-season programming

• Experience coordinating vendors or pop-up events
• Familiarity with local/regional growing seasons across all four seasons
• Customer service or team lead experience

30–40 hours per week. Saturdays required. Year-round position with consistent hours across all seasons.
