We are seeking a Storeroom Supervisor to lead daily storeroom operations in a fast-paced paper and pulp manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for inventory accuracy, material availability, and supervision of hourly employees in a union environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, inventory management expertise, and the ability to work effectively within a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) while supporting safe, efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily storeroom operations including receiving, stocking, issuing, and cycle counting
- Lead and support union storeroom employees in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement
- Manage work assignments, scheduling, and overtime distribution per contractual guidelines
- Maintain accurate inventory in CMMS/ERP systems (SAP, Maximo, or similar)
- Ensure proper handling and storage of MRO parts, critical spares, materials, and chemicals
- Partner with Maintenance, Operations, and Procurement to ensure material availability
- Support outages, shutdowns, and urgent repair needs through effective parts coordination
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and plant policies
- Participate in grievance processes and foster positive labor relations
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize inventory
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred - 3–7 years of storeroom, warehouse, or inventory experience in an industrial setting
- Prior supervisory experience in a union environment strongly preferred
- Experience in paper, pulp, or heavy manufacturing highly preferred
- Working knowledge of CMMS/ERP systems (JDE, SAP, etc.)
- Strong understanding of MRO inventory and industrial parts
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of union work environments and labor agreements
