Davis Technical College is seeking a passionate and experienced Cosmetology Instructor to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will educate and mentor students pursuing licensure in cosmetology, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed for successful careers in the beauty industry. This position is Monday - Friday; approximately 20 hours per week for both day and night classes.

• Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in cosmetology theory and practice.
• Support students in developing technical skills aligned with industry standards.
• Prepare students for state licensure and employment in the field.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.

• Current Utah Cosmetology license.
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• One (1) to three (3) years of industry experience in the Cosmetology industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to student success and professional growth.
• Must have demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and instill industry-related concepts and skills, critical thinking skills, computer skills, and ability to foster a productive learning environment.
• Must be able to deliver instruction in a variety of methods and produce instructional outcomes.
• Must be capable of performing routine physical activities associated with the training program, including the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds, and demonstrate proper physical requirements associated with performing job functions.

• Prior teaching or training experience preferred, with preference given to those with an active Cosmetology Instructor License.
