Director, Education Administration, Education ​/ Teaching

An approved K-6 life-based charter school bringing innovative education to Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain, Utah, is now accepting applications for a full-time Director. The position will begin October 1, 2026, in preparation for the school's opening for the 2027--2028 school year.

This charter school seeks to inspire lifelong learners through life-based learning opportunities! Students experience firsthand that education isn't about preparing you for life, rather life itself is education. By following a Life-Based Educational Model, we combine academic knowledge, rich social-emotional learning, hands-on career exploration, and essential life skills in a way that cultivates happy, health humans that are enthusiastic about their personal interests and skills, excited about being active members of their communities, and optimistic about the limitless possibility of their futures.

This charter school will allow students to find their personalized pathway to a life that offers purpose, engagement, variety, meaningful relationships, and safe, healthy home and work environments.

The School Director will provide leadership and oversight for the academic, operational, personnel, and community functions of the school. Responsibilities will include preparing the school for its 2027--2028 opening, supporting staff recruitment and development, overseeing school programs and operations, assisting with student recruitment and enrollment, managing school resources and budgets, developing positive relationships with families and the community, and ensuring alignment with the school's mission, charter, policies, and applicable requirements.

Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to support the successful development and operation of the school.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong educational leadership, organizational management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Qualifications and preferred experience include:

• Education experience required
• Valid Utah Administrative License/Endorsement preferred
• Valid Utah Teaching License preferred
• Prior administrative and school leadership experience preferred
• Prior teaching experience preferred
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a record of exemplary results
• Experience with program development and implementation
• Strong project, personnel, and staff management skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with the Governing Board, employees, parents, students, community members, and other stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving, strategic planning, and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and use data to improve student achievement, staff performance, and school outcomes
• Working knowledge of school-based budgeting and financial management
• Knowledge of fundraising, grant writing, and resource development
• Experience with student recruitment, enrollment, and community outreach
• Ability to develop and maintain positive community relationships and partnerships
• Commitment to understanding, supporting, and advancing the school's mission and charter
• Strong technology skills and ability to effectively utilize technology in school operations and communication
• Goal-oriented, collaborative, and capable of leading others toward organizational success
