Position Overview

Performs a variety of analytical and technical tasks relating to installation, implementation, operation, and maintenance of in‑house computer services and systems. Works as an Information Technology (IT) team member and collaborates within the team structure to promote quality IT Department and College services to customers and partners while achieving respective goals, objectives, and mission.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware/software, peripherals and networked products.
  • Utilize ticketing systems to maintain service tickets.
  • Create and maintain computer images, including new and re‑purposed computers.
  • Assist in inventory control, inventory identification, and surplus of excess equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Shared IT Responsibilities
  • Work as an IT team member and collaborate within the team structure to promote quality IT Department and College services.
  • Assist users to understand software applications and provide orientation and training.
  • Support faculty and staff with IT related issues, focusing on developing highly interactive relationships through customer service skills.
  • Required Qualification
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Certification from a Technical College.
    • Two (2) years of PC/LAN experience.
    • Basic understanding of PC architecture and operation of both hardware and software.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to develop effective working relationships with supervisors, co‑workers, students, and the public.
    • Ability to work independently and manage work assignments in a high interpersonal contact environment.
    • Ability to deal effectively with stress caused by workload and time deadlines.
