The Opportunity

This Is Not a “Just Keep the Crew Busy” Foreman Role.

Alpha Inc. is looking for a Civil Foreman who leads from the front
, owns outcomes, and takes pride in delivering infrastructure that Hawaiʻi depends on.

These are prevailing wage, high‑visibility waterline replacement projects — including:

  • A 12” waterline replacement kicking off in early April
  • A 20” water supply waterline replacement following shortly after

If you know how to run underground work safely, efficiently, and with zero excuses — and you expect your crew to bring the same standard every day — keep reading.

About Alpha Inc.

Born and built in Hawaiʻi,
Alpha Inc. is a locally owned leader in heavy civil construction, infrastructure, renewable energy, concrete, drilling, and specialty services.

We don’t just build projects —
we build trust, careers, and long‑term impact for island communities.

Core Values
  • Lead with Heart – Respect people. Protect your crew. Do the right thing even when it’s hard.
  • Strength in Unity – One crew, one mission. We win or lose together.
  • Alpha Mentality – Take ownership. Set the pace. Raise the standard.

As a Civil Foreman, you are a culture carrier of these values on every jobsite you lead.

What You’ll Do

You are the tip of the spear — translating plans into action and expectations into results.

You’ll lead crews on complex underground utility work, coordinate daily production, enforce safety without compromise, and serve as the critical link between the field and management.

  • Lead and coordinate crews and subcontractors on waterline replacement projects
  • Set daily plans, adjust for conditions, and keep production moving
  • Hold the line on safety, quality, and accountability
Safety First — Always
  • Enforce all safety protocols and company standards
  • Conduct daily inspections of tools, equipment, and jobsite conditions
  • Create an environment where every worker goes home safe
Execution & Quality
  • Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Ensure all work meets project, client, and Alpha standards
  • Maintain clean, organized, hazard‑free jobsites
Communication & Coordination
  • Act as the primary liaison between field crews and management
  • Provide regular progress updates and flag issues early
  • Resolve field challenges professionally and decisively
Culture & Crew Development
  • Lead with respect and clarity — no chaos, no guesswork
  • Coach crew members and elevate performance
  • Represent Alpha’s values on every job, every day
What It Takes to Be an “A Player” Here Experience
  • Minimum 2+ years as a construction foreman or similar leadership role
  • Strong background in heavy civil and underground utility work
  • Experience on prevailing wage projects strongly preferred
Technical Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic reporting tools
Requirements (Conditions of Employment)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong leadership presence, decision‑making ability, and work ethic
Leadership & Mindset
  • You lead with confidence and humility.
  • You take ownership — excuses don’t live on your jobsite.
  • You protect your people, your schedule, and Alpha’s reputation.
  • You believe culture, safety, and execution are inseparable.

, you’ll feel at home here.
