Mechanical Engineer IV

Performs difficult professional engineering work in the design, installation, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems, and/or in the review and analysis of plans and specifications for mechanical engineering features and compliance with code requirements; and performs other related duties as required.

There is one vacancy with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply, Capital Projects Construction Branch.

Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four‑year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in an engineering specialty.

Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided. We also reserve the right to request further information about your academic program, evidence of comparability, or an original transcript.

Three years of non-registered professional mechanical engineering experience.

• Possession of a valid license as a professional mechanical engineer in the State of Hawaii. Applicants with a current out-of-state professional mechanical engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.
• Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license, as required.
