JOB DUTIES :
The function of the Materials Management unit is to coordinate, monitor, disburse, and standardize the procurement of supplies, equipment and services necessary for the operation of the West Hawaii Region; maintain the inventories of supplies and equipment for KCH, KOH and affiliated outpatient facilities; account for the payment, disbursements, vouchers and reports of the Materials Management unit to the Fiscal Services Section;
and to negotiate, document and execute contracts for goods and services for the West Hawaii Region.
The purpose of position is to manage the planning, organization, development and supervision of positions which are directly responsible for the coordination, development, procurement, and disbursement to end users of all products used within KCH, KOH and affiliated outpatient facilities. This position may be required to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
This position also manages and supervises the Central Supply functions which include requisitioning, preparing, and issuing dressing packs, treatment and dressing trays, parenteral fluids, and other professional equipment necessary for the care of patients.
THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS ARE:
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated; the required education and experiences may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experiences are based on a 40-hour work week.
Basic Education/Experience Requirement:
Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Excess work experience as described under the Specialized Experience, below, or any other progressively responsible administrative, professional or analytical work experience which provided knowledge, skills and abilities comparable to those acquired in four (4) years of successful study while completing a college or university curriculum leading to a baccalaureate degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. To be acceptable, the experience must have been of such scope, level and quality as to assure the possession of comparable knowledge, skills and abilities.
The education or experience background must also demonstrate the ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and other documents; read and interpret complex written material; and solve complex problems logically and systematically.
