The function of the Housekeeping unit is to provide janitorial and other hospital cleaning functions for the entire hospital to maintain clean and healthy surroundings for patients and staff members and to prevent infection and contamination.

The Environmental Services Worker II performs routine manual work in cleaning and maintaining the hospital and performs heavy lifting, cleaning places and equipment which are not easily accessible, and operates heavy industrial type cleaning equipment. This position may be required to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated; the required education and experiences may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experiences are based on a 40-hour work week.
